GENERAL

• It is the responsibility of the pet owner to be present before, during and after the service to assure that the requested service is done correctly.
• We specialize in disabled, elder and handicapped pets, BUT we are not liable if they have a health emergency while being groomed due to their disability or age. If a health problem arises during the grooming the owner will be liable for any veterinary emergency treatment expenses.
• Hair cuts are given with clipper blades and scissors therefore there is a possibility that your pet can get hurt, specially if they are hyper, aggressive or extremely matted.
• If your pet is severely tangled or matted, there is a greater risk of injury, stress and trauma. All precautions will be taken. However, problems occasionally arise, during or after grooming, such as nicks, clipper irritation and mental or physical stress.

• No Refunds will be provided

HEALTH

• It is the owner’s responsibility to advise the groomers of any allergies, diseases or health conditions the pet has BEFORE the service.
• Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or even aggravate a current one, our groomers will do their best describe the condition and refer your pet to a veterinarian at owners expense.  

FLEAS and TICKS

• If your pet has fleas, you are responsible for a $7.00 Flea Shampoo charge which will kill off any fleas on your pet.
• We will NOT blow dry any dogs with LIVE fleas inside our truck, to prevent fleas from colonizing other pets.
• We will NOT groom any pets with ticks.
• Ticks put our groomers at risk for lime disease and other bacterial/viral/parasitic infections.
• The removal of ticks from your pet can cause a local infection, therefore we do NOT remove ticks
• If your pet does have ticks we will refuse to groom it and charge a $20 fee for driving to the location and not being able to groom your pet.
• If your pet DOES have ticks, please take them to your local Vet and have them prescribe a medication which will cause the ticks to die and fall of, then you may schedule your appointment with Doggie Glam.

AGGRESSION

• If your pet shows signs of aggression such as growling, scratching or biting, we will muzzle them for the safety of our groomers.
• Aggressive animals can get out of control and hurt themselves as well as our groomers. If the pet is hurt while having a panic attack or trying to harm our groomers, owner will be liable for any veterinary emergency treatment expenses
• If we feel that your pet is extremely aggressive, we can refuse to finish the job or service them in the future.
• There is a minimum $20.00 charge for driving out to the location, even if service is not completed due to a severly aggressive pet.
